Position Summary

Loffler Companies is looking for a dependable, hardworking Installations / Service Technician to join our team!

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, customer interaction, and learning new equipment and systems.

In this position, you'll install and network printers, copiers, and related equipment at customer locations. You'll also troubleshoot equipment and networking issues, complete service calls, and provide onsite customer training when needed.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, basic networking knowledge, and a desire to grow with the company.

 

What You'll Do

  • Install printers, copiers, accessories, and related equipment at customer sites.
  • Connect equipment to customer networks, including print drivers, default settings, scan-to-email, and scan-to-folder setup.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues related to imaging equipment.
  • Complete service calls, networking calls, work orders, service logs, and checklists accurately and on time.
  • Set up account tracking when requested by customers.
  • Update IT Glue with any pertinent information for the customer specific to locations, network information and passwords.
  • Communicate installation details with the software team, including IP addresses and network verification.
  • Provide onsite customer training on how to use equipment and features.
  • Maintain your vehicle, stock parts, supplies, and tools.
  • Complete manufacturer training for supported equipment in the region.
  • Maintain timely response times and close calls efficiently.
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work in-office and travel to client sites as needed.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and perform well under pressure.
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills.
  • Working knowledge of PCs, network hardware, operating systems, software, and network protocols, including TCP/IP.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic networking experience required.
  • Previous office equipment repair experience preferred.
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills required.
